Mandalagan, she is a voter of Brgy. 9.
Barangay Captain Gary Yanson of Brgy. 9 had filed a petition for disqualification against Gloria Alisbo, who is running against him in the barangay election. The petition will be heard by the Commission on Election on Tuesday. In an interview over RMN, Alisbo, who is the wife of Bacolod Councilor Catalino Alisbo, said that although she has been a resident of Brgy. Mandalagan for 41 years, she remains a registered voter of Brgy. 9. She said she does not want to run but it is the people who want her to. She said she spends most of her time in Brgy. 9 because they have a business there (Alisbo Memorial Chapel). Alisbo said Yanson, who is her godson, is trying to mislead the residents of the barangay. He may feel threatened because he has lost the trust of his constituents, she said. The issues raised by Yanson against her are the same issues he had raised against her husband, Councilor Catalino Alisbo, who was then barangay captain of Brgy. 9, she added. Meanwhile, the 25 barangay captains of Bacolod City who have served for three consecutive terms and can no longer seek re-election are Pepito Malapitan of Brgy. Alijis, Eduardo Torrecampo – Brgy. Banago, Arturo Parreño – Brgy. Mandalagan, Ramon Villareal – Brgy. Montevista, Rommel Sanson – Brgy. Taculing, Eduardo Galona – Brgy.
