POLICE Station 3 led by Police Inspector Jose Mulleta was declared the best police station in Bacolod City Police Office’s (BCPO) 2011 first quarter evaluation and received its award during BCPO’s “Adlaw sang Pagdayaw” celebration at BCPO headquarters Monday.
The awarding was led by BCPO Director Ricardo De la Paz, with Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Councilors Al Victor Espino, Roberto Rojas, El Cid Familiaran and Catalino Alisbo. Station 5 led by Police Inspector Niel Exaltado ranked 2nd place while Station 9 led by Police Senior Inspector Jeffrey Attunaga settled for 3rd place.Police Station 1 led by Police Chief Inspector Luisito Acebuche was also cited as Best Police Station for 2010. Further, Acebuche snared the Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) in 2010 award while Police Senior Inspector Joemarie Occeña was awarded as Best Junior PCO in 2010. SPO1 Rey Jereos Sr. and PO2 Joshua Barile were awarded as Best Senior and Junior Police Non-Commissioned (PNCO) in 2010, respectively. Adjudged Best Senior and Junior Admin PNCO were SPO3 Victor Daprinal and PO2 Dareen Ann Taguas while Best Senior and Junior Intel PNCO were SPO3 Joeven Lavilla and PO2 Barile. The Best Senior and Junior operation were PO3 Santiago Gaitan and PO2 Joanne Ofalia. Best Senior and Junior’s Police Community Relation (PCR) were SPO1 Jereos, Jr. and PO1 Fricardo Somogat III. Best Senior and Junior HRDD PNCO were SPO4 Marilou Alfonso and PO2 Armando Lagunday. Best Senior and Junior WCPD are PO3 Rose Mae Diaz and PO1 Rima Demerin. Awarded as Best Investigator was SPO2 Oscar Exaltado while the Best Senior and Junior Warrant PNCO were SPO4 Gilbert Linda and PO2 Elton Exaltado. Best Traffic Investigator award went to SPO3 Dennis Perma while the Best Traffic Aide plum went toTae George Gaston. Best NUP was Consuelo Carreon and the Best Civilian employee was Bernard Seva. Stations 3 and 5 also received one set of which was earlier given by Jose Vicente Guatelara. BCPO also recognized Jose Vicente Guatelara, who donated two hand-held radios for BCPO’s Motorized Anti-Street Crime Operatives (Masco). Other individuals and non-government organization volunteers cited by BCPO for their contributions were, Pastor Benito Pakingking, Crime Stoppers Incorporated, Bantay Bayan, Community Movement and Reaction Against Crime and Illegal Drugs (COMRAID) Inc., Centennial Force Foundation Incorporated (CFFI), Bacolod Movement Against Crime (BMAC), Association of United Taxi Operators In Negros (AUTON), Bacolod Anti Crime Task Force (BACTF), Striker, Bacolod City Tricycle Task Force (BCTTF), Bantay Banwa and UNDOC. Meanwhile, Leonardia congratulates all the awardees during the “Adlaw sang Pagdayaw” celebration. The city mayor also lauded the performance of De la Paz as the newly installed as BCPO director of Bacolod. Leonardia challenged the new director to make Bacolod City as of the best city in the Philippines, in terms of peace and order. On the other hand, Leonardia also lauded the performance of former BCPO Director Senior Supt. Celestino Guara who served the city for almost two years, stressing that Guara also passed the challenges during his stint as the chief of BCPO. Station 4 gets ‘kalabasa’ award Former Station 4 commander P/SInsp. Leilani Garcia, presently head of BCPO’s Police Community Relations, received the “kalabasa” award for her former station’s low evaluation results. De la Paz said the “kalabasa” award should serve as challenge for the recipient to strive and improve their performance within their area of responsibility. The city director clarified that it doesn’t mean that Garcia and her men in were ineffective. “They only missed some points on how to solve crime incidents within their area of responsibility. The award should motivate them to improve their performance,” he stressed. In succeeding quarters, De la Paz vowed to continue evaluating the different police stations in the city and giving them their corresponding awards.
