The Philippine Councilors League Region 6 Federation of Officers from the six provinces and two highly-urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod elected its officers for 2013-2016 in Iloilo City headed by Councilor Mitchelle Patricio of Pilar, Capiz as regional chairman recently, its press release said.
The other officers who ran unopposed are Sherwin Sancheng of Iloilo province, regional vice chairman; Renante Nava, Antique, secretary general; Nelly Rentoy of Guimaras, treasurer; Jay Tejada of Aklan, auditor; and Wilfredo Tortosa of Negros Occidental, public relations officer, the press release also said. Members of the Board of Directors who also ran unopposed are Apolinar Cleope, Vicente William Tabanao, Erech Alocilia, Isabelo Acollador, Ricky Boluso, Em Ang, El Cid Familiaran, and Ronnie Ferrer. The election was supervised by the Department of Interior and Local Government regional office, and attended by PCL national officers, headed by its president, Alma Moreno, and chairman Allan Zulueta. Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr., Bacolod PCL president, was appointed member of the Comelec, and Board Member Raul Rivera, the League's island president, headed the Negros Occidental delegation, the press release added.*
