THE City Council of Bacolod City approved the preliminary pproval and locational clearance for the Granada-Vista Alegre Relocation Site II during their Regular Session last September 1.
Councilor Caesar Z. Distrito, chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning and Development, recommended and moved for the approval of the said clearance which is necessary in order to develop the relocation site in the said area. “The approval of this clearance is very much awaited since many residents of the City, who were demolished need to be relocated on the said area”, Distrito said. The approval of the Locational Clearance was approved by virtue of the vote of seven Councilors, Homer Bais, Bobby Rojas, Em Ang, Mona Dia Jardin, Al Victor Espino and Carl Lopez with the abstention of four Councilors Archie Baribar, Sonya Verdeflor, El Cid Familiaran and Catalino Alisbo. Based on the Certification issued by the City Planning and Development Office, the said property with an area of 586, 681 square meters was zonified as residential zone as per City Ordinance 216, Series of 1998 and the HLURB issued Resolution 717 dated March 20, 2002 that the said property was classified for Future Urban Use and conforms with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the City of Bacolod.
