Two medical missions were held recently by Katilingban nga Nag-Hiusa Inc. that benefited 834 individuals, a press release from Kasanag said.
The first was held in Purl Sulum, Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City organized through the Kasanag Mandalagan chapter officers led by Tery Montilla and Richie Balgos that benefited 200 patients. The second was conducted at the Brgy. Tangub gymnasium with 634 patients as beneficiaries. The free services included adult cheek-up, pediatrics, circumcisions, massage, haircut, eye check-up, tooth extraction and supplemental feeding, and 200 eyeglasses were distributed free, the press release said. Sponsors were Bacolod councilors Carl Lopez and El Cid Familiaran, Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez, officials of Brgy. Tangub led by Barangay Captain Carlos Montano, 303rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army and Coca Cola Bottlers Phils., it added. Kasanag Inc. is a non-profit, non-political organization which aims to bring basic services and projects directly to the people, founded by John Chiong and now chaired by Wilfredo David, with chapters in Negros Island, Iloilo, Cebu and Metro Manila, the press release added.*
